The hammam guests are given robes at the entrance when they arrive. Washing is a private affair, carried out behind a screen. After which, the guest then remains only in disposable underwear, and then he or she is again given a fresh robe to exit the hammam.

After the banishment of the Turks at the end of the 17th century, on the left bank of the Danube, opposite the Petrovaradin Fortress, which was built by the Romans, and restored and maintained by Hungarians and Turks, a settlement of soldiers, craftsmen and traders - today's Novi Sad – was founded.
